VNC House

The project’s main line was to transform the single floor house into a two floors house, preserving the existing identity, keeping elements that contained emotional bond to the owners. One particular feature of the project was the attention to preserving and reusing materials. This intention came as a surprise: the original rooftop, made of in pink perobawood, was reused on the floor of the social areas at the gound floor; and the older wood floor were reused upstairs. Factors that contributed to the project result, which valued wood, vegetation, smoothness of spaces and the history of the house.
